So many people think that concrete can only be beautiful when colored, stamped, and stained. Get ready for the mind blowing realization that plain gray can be stunning if the design is right.

When considering a remodel or addition to a home or business, concrete is at the top of the product list. It has such a diverse set of uses from walls to floors and seating areas to counter space. One of the top questions on every person’s mind is, ‘how much will this cost me?’
One idea would be to cut out the coloring, stamping, and staining on the concrete surface all together. Trying a flat gray look could present you with a pleasing atmosphere you didn't originally consider. If you still desire a glossed surface, ask your contractor about polishing the concrete. It may be a cheaper alternative to staining. Perhaps you want a specific shade of gray, you can still take the color route, you don’t have to settle for the initial tint.

Still don’t believe that gray is the way to go? Listen up. Gray is gorgeous. It gives us a clean cut look and lends a cool sophistication to any area.
You might think gray is too cold and stark for your taste. There is a solution! Gray has the benefit of matching with almost every other color on the spectrum. Any number of light colorful accents can be used to brighten up a gray space. You might even look at adding white. If you have a lot of natural light and desire a fresh, breezy atmosphere, white on gray is the way to go.
Maybe you’re actually looking for a moodier tone. Throwing in some darker colors atop gray might be the choice for you. Contrasting gray concrete floors or counter space with dark wood trims or cabinetry is always an excellent idea.
Add some pop and pizzaz with red, orange, or yellow accents. The artsy types might get a kick out of one of those combinations.
